I’m long time friends with the founder of IndyGround Entertainment known to many by the name of Steddy P (I’ll save my nicknames for another post). Not only has he created a label that is changing the way the industry looks at music in the midwest, he’s giving back to the hip hop community in a way that’s rarely acknowledged. IndyGround hosts a monthly showcase for local talent called Midwest Got Next! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these events since they started 4 months ago. Reminds me of the late nights I spent documenting MC’s on thursday nights at LA’s Project Blowed.
