Strange Dreams

A couple nights ago I dreamt I was performing as some kind of trapeze/gymnast on the streets of Los Angeles. A crowd of people went threw the streets dancing and I was being thrown thousands of feet into the air. At first it caught me off guard but I quickly embraced each toss. As I floated to the ground each time I felt exhilarated. Completely free. Completely. It felt so real even though realisticly I’m afraid of heights. I remember waiting to be freaked out in my mind (in my dream) but that moment never came. Am I the only one who has conscious thoughts during a dream, but allows the dream to continue?

Anyway, Then some how the dream went on and I was in need of a rental car. I walk in the establishment to find Tyler the Creator working at a desk. I rent my car and we get to talking and somehow end up spending the day together. We ran errands. I met his mom. We danced in the grocery store. Before the night was up we fell in love. Hahaha. I knew this dream was pretty out of hand at this point. I’m not even familiar with any of this guys music, but somehow he ended up in my dream. I don’t know what all of this is supposed to symbolize but I’m just gonna take it as a good sign.

Not sure what to call this post

It’s 3 am in the midwest. This is actually an early night for me if you’re familiar with my sleeping patterns. (Shout out to all the semi insomniacs out there.) I couldn’t sleep so I decided to blog. So I’m sitting here alone in silence in my birthday suite typing away. Was that too much? Don’t really care, it’s that type of blog and I’m that type of girl. I’ve decided if I’m gonna continue having a blog I need to A.) stop being paranoid about it. B.) Use it and C.) Be honest. So here we go……..

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen I’m Keyonna Renea. I love taking beautiful photographs. They’ll range anywhere from family portraits to local and underground hip hop artists. I have a unique set of friends and clients. That’s what sets me apart. I’ll be here rambling on about one thing or another if you’ll be there to listen (or eeerrr read). Deal? K. Lets go!

It’s Been Way Too Long

I’m here….I know it’s been way too long since it’s posted. And I’m not even sure there is anyone out there dying for a new post but here it is. I’ve been doing alot of soul searching lately….. kinda at a cross roads in my life. Seems like everyone I know is on the verge of some great or a new opportunity. Here’s a look at what I’m getting into this month. First off I hired a trainer… Not just any trainer, it’s my brother….He’s very good at what he does and for that reason I am scared for my life. If you want a great trainer hit him up at this email address for price and availibility. provictoria@hotmail.com

2nd is my photoshoot with the talented Vicky Chang. She has designed some great pieces for your pole dancing workout.

3rd on my list for his month is the Walk MS event here in Kansas City and LA. I will be walking for my mother who has been battling MS for the past 6 years. If you’d like to participate or donate please feel free to do so. My Kansas City team still needs help fundraising.

And last but not least I will be celebrating my birthday at the end of the month….Didn’t I would even get excited about it this year til my roommate surprised me with my first present. It was the game scene it? Twilight Edition. We opened it up and took a crack at it and I can’t wait to play it with a group of people.

Stay tuned to see what I’m up to and if you would like to learn more about the Walk MS check it out here.

She’s My Road Dog

You guys remember Ashley Michelle!! You know…the tastiest talent behing all the treats featured on this here blog (whoa got a little country on ya’ll for a sec lol). Anywho I love my Ash….she’s my road dog. We have been friends for oh 5 years now and chemistry was instant. Feels like we’ve been friends since the days of playing hand clap on the street corner, you know waaayyyy back. The moment I met her I hugged her and that was it she was under my spell. Her and I just click. She’s the type of friend that brings out the goofiest part in you. She’s seen me do somethings so ridiculously silly I can’t even do it in front of anyone else. Ashley is embarking on a new adventure and love…STYLING!! All the clothes featured in this shoot were from her closet. Nothing borrowed, this was all her. Ashley my dear you are beautiful and so talented in so many areas I hope some of that rubs off on me. Enjoy the photos and leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you think.

Carl has decided to try out modeling. And just as I suspected he was a natural. Thanks for letting me shoot you in the snow. It was good seeing you. You and your mom reminded me of the love our families have for one another. I’m proud to call you guys family.

G-Baby 9 months

Ahhhhhh internet…… this little guy came into my life 9 months ago and I have been in love ever since. And even though I don’t get to see my godson everyday (though I wish I could) I think of him everyday.

While in Kansas City for the holidays I planned to spend as much time with him as I could. Then I got scared. *GASP* “What if he doesn’t like me !” I probably would’ve cried like a big baby. Luckily he warmed to me quickly. It didn’t take long before I was singing songs to him and crawling around with him. We had adventures with macaroni and banana baby food. And when he reached for the ornaments on the christmas tree I pretended not to see. I would grab for them too, plus they were plastic and soft so I cut him some slack.

The day I was leaving the parentals brought him by for his second shoot with me….Uh can I just say he is destined for a modeling career…. He takes direction well lol…Oh G-Baby (don’t hate on the nic name lol) I love you sooooo much !

BABY GAP HERE WE COME !!!

Wright Boys

AJ and Austyn Wright are too cute for words. Their mother is a very dear friend to me and has been since high school. She brought these two over for a quick shoot while I was home visiting in Kansas City and boy was it fun. I love my job! Even though AJ wasn’t warm to the idea of me taking pictures I did it anyway in hopes of winning his approval. And when he really wasn’t having it, I took pictures of his baby brother. Even though LaToya and I had our hands full with two little ones I had a blast. I mean who get’s to make kids laugh and hold cuddly babys on the job right?

HA! Caught AJ smiling lol
Much needed Mommy break
“Tiger says RAAAAWR”
Cuddliest baby on earth !!

Retta and Scott Engaged

I’ve know Retta for let’s see…..maybe 10 years! She and I were on our high schools dance team together. Motion Inc. is what they called us and we were the best. Okay I’m not sure if that’s a bias thought but who cares this is my blog right? Motion Inc. kicked ass! Retta has always been a gentle soul and a kind listener. Recently Retta and her fiance Scott moved to the west coast so when they joined me at The GetUp one evening I hopped at the chance to ask to be there photographer.

A couple months later we met at Las Brisas Restuarnat in Laguna Beach and started our session. It was really cold and windy but they were troopers. By the way if you are ever in Laguna you should eat there its pretty darn delicious and they give you a ton of food. Anywho check the pics and leave a comment, I’d love to hear from ya :)

The Stroebel Family

The Stroebel’s are adorable!! I met them at Aliso Beach a couple of weeks ago before they went off to pick out their christmas tree. Rhonda and Robert have made the cutest kids let me tell ya. It was alot of fun watching Dominque run around so care free. And miss Elayna was so precious in her dress. The session was pretty quick so the little ones wouldn’t get bored but they knocked it out the park. Rhonda and Robert will be moving back to NorCal pretty soon to be closer to family. Thank you for choosing me as your photographer. SoCal will miss you guys, but I know there’s nothing like being close to family :)
